Description

"The first part of the document provides concepts,
definitions, and a justification of the importance of
mental health, mental health at the workplace, and
mental health among harm reduction staff.
The second part contains recommendations
to improve mental health in harm reduction
programmes and services. These are structured
to accommodate the diverse challenges, needs,
experiences, and levels of influence of different
types of staff within the harm reduction sector.
Considering this, our guidelines are organised into
two main volumes:

1. Recommendations

Recommendations for harm reduction
organisations
Recommendations for harm reduction
managers
Recommendations for frontline harm
reduction providers

2. Exercises

The focus is on outlining practices individuals can
incorporate into their daily lives to maintain positive
mental health. This includes practical advice and
recommendations for promoting mental well-being.
At the end of the document, several practical
exercises are provided to assist in applying these
recommendations.
Although general recommendations are offered,
considerations should be made for the different
contexts and policies of each country/city, as some
aspects may not be universally applicable." (p. 6)
